Other Physical Requirements:
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
- Eye Sight: The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 in both eyes without correction.
- Medical Fitness: The candidate must be in good physical and mental health and free from any physical deformity that may interfere with the efficient performance of duties.

Mode of Payment:

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- Male Candidates:
- 5 km race in 24 minutes (for candidates in hilly areas: 1.6 km in 6 minutes 30 seconds)
- Female Candidates:
- 1.6 km race in 8 minutes 30 seconds (for candidates in hilly areas: 800 meters in 4 minutes)

The selection process for SSC GD Constable consists of the following stages:
- Computer-Based Examination (CBE): The first phase includes a written exam with objective-type questions covering General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Qualified candidates from the CBE move on to the PET, which involves running and other physical tasks based on gender and category.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): This test assesses candidates’ height, chest measurement (for male candidates), and weight according to their category and gender.
- Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates undergo a thorough medical examination to ensure they are fit for duty.
