• Age Relaxation: As per government norms (SC/ST – +5 years, OBC – +3 years, PwBD – +10 years, others per category). 

• Local Language Proficiency: Compulsory—reading, writing, speaking and understanding the local language of the applied state/UT. Exemptions apply if the candidate studied the language up to Class 10 or above. 

• Computer Knowledge: Must have a certificate/diploma or have studied the subject in school/college.

5.1 Preliminary Exam

• Sections: English Language (30 Q/30 M), Numerical Ability (35 Q/35 M), Reasoning Ability (35 Q/35 M)

• Total: 100 questions for 100 marks

• Duration: 60 minutes (20 minutes per section)

• Negative Marking: –0.25 marks for each wrong answer

• Marks obtained are for qualifying only—not counted in final selection. 

5.2 Mains Exam (Revised)

Significant changes made this year:

• Total Questions: Reduced from 190 to 155

• Total Marks: 200

• Duration: 120 minutes (earlier 160 minutes)

• Sections:

  • General/Financial Awareness: 40 Q/50 M (20 mins)

  • General English: 40 Q/40 M (35 mins)

  • Reasoning Ability: 40 Q/60 M (35 mins)

  • Quantitative Aptitude: 35 Q/50 M (30 mins)

• Reasoning and Computer Aptitude have been combined as a single stream.

• Negative Marking: –0.25 marks for each wrong answer

• Marks in Mains are counted for final merit.

• A new Edit Window is provided post-application, allowing corrections before final submission—dates to be announced.
