For eligibility criteria:
Educational Qualifications:
- For Paper I (Class I to V):
- Senior secondary with at least 50% marks and completion of a 2-year diploma in elementary education.
- Senior secondary with minimum 50% marks and completion of a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in elementary education (B.El.Ed).
- Secondary with minimum 45% marks and completion or enrollment in the final year of diploma in elementary education, as per NCTE.
- Senior secondary with minimum 50% marks and completion or enrollment in the final year of a 2-year diploma in special education.
- Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and B.Ed, along with a 6-month bridge course in elementary education recognized by NCTE within 2 years of appointment as primary teachers.
- For Paper II (Class VI to VIII):
- Graduation with completion or enrollment in the final year of diploma in elementary education.
- Graduation with minimum 50% marks and completion or enrollment in B.Ed.
- Graduation with minimum 45% marks and completion or enrollment in B.Ed, as per recognition norms.
- Senior secondary with minimum 50% marks and enrollment in the final year of B.Sc.Ed/B.A or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
- Senior secondary with minimum 50% marks and enrollment in the final year of B.El.Ed.
- Graduation with minimum 50% marks and enrollment in B.Ed (special education), recognized by NCTE.
Age Criteria:
- Minimum age: 18 years
- No maximum age limit (as of 01 January 2024).

- Paper 2: Rs1000/-
- Both Papers: Rs2000/-
- SC/ST/Physically Handicapped Category: Relaxations may apply.
- Ex-servicemen (Self Only): Exempt from application fee.
Exam Date: 07 January 2024.
Exam Pattern:
- Paper I: 150 questions, 150 marks, covering environmental studies, child development and pedagogy, mathematics, language, and language II.
- Paper II: 150 questions, 150 marks, covering mathematics, social studies, science, child development and pedagogy, language, and language II.
- Duration: 2.5 hours.
- Marking scheme: +1 for correct answer, no negative marking.
